I am a professor and member of the Scientific Council at the Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences, member of Academia Europaea (European Academy of Sciences), I have lectured at universities in Poland, USA, Canada, Denmark and Sweden. In the years 1990-2010 I was president of the board of the family company A.Blikle Sp. z o.o., which during this period grew from a single patisserie to 15 outlets – patisseries, cafés, restaurants and delicatessen shops – in Warsaw and 8 franchise outlets outside Warsaw.
In 2010, A. Blikle was awarded the ‘Special Distinction: A. Blikle – Blooming Family Brand’ awarded to it by the international marketing agency Young and Rubicam Consulting as a result of a survey conducted by BAV Consulting according to the BrandAsset Valuator® methodology.
I am honorary president of the Family Business Initiative Association and the Adam Smith Centre. In 2015, my book ‘The Doctrine of Quality’ won first place in the competition of the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna in the category ‘Best Economic Handbook’, and in 2016 it was recognised by the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) as ‘the best work in the field of business science in 2014-2015’. Since 2008, I have been running the consulting and training company Andrzej Blikle Doradca.

We are engaged in building financial, psychological and social support systems for children with cancer and their families. Foundation takes care of hundreds of children undergoing treatment in specialized centers. It implements nationwide projects and provides financial assistance to children treated in centers at home and abroad. As one of two organizations in Poland, foundation is a member of CCI Europe (the European branch of Childhood Cancer International) and also of the ALSAC group working with St. Jude Global in the US.
