Simple language in applied texts – a basic course

course description
If you work in a public institution, a bank or any company that interacts with customers on a mass scale, the phrase simple language is certainly not foreign to you. If not, this course is for you. Plain language is a standard that assumes that a sender who knows more about a subject is able to convey his knowledge to an audience that knows less in such a way that the sender can quickly find the information he needs and use it efficiently in practice. Plain language is not a fad, it is a standard described in the ISO standard, which is gaining recognition due to, among other things, the requirements of communication accessibility. In the proposed course I discuss the most important issues related to plain language.

Monika Kresa
I show that any text can be written in such a way that the average language user can understand it. For the last 5 years I have been training people working in institutions, offices and private companies on the issues of simple language and effective communication.
