Compendium of teal self-organization

book information

Two diamonds, two rubies or two emeralds may differ in size and shape, but they will be identical otherwise. It is different with turquoise. Each one contains a unique symphony of colors and is clearly different from the others. What’s more, if you divide a piece of turquoise in two, each piece will be different.

I don’t know if this is the reason why Laloux chose turquoise as a symbol for the paradigm he describes, but it fits the philosophical nature of turquoise organizations very well. Although they all have a common philosophical denominator, each one is different and unique. Each can also be described and seen in many ways. In this essay, I present turquoise as I see it.

what you gain?

This sketch is written for those who would like to familiarize themselves in a possibly condensed form with the idea of an organization without managers described by F. Laloux and the path to such a model, to which I have devoted a large part of the second edition of my “Doctrine of Quality”.
